weber carb fuel bowl question?

i took my new turbo a series to the drags tonight and gave it some but when i gave it it gets to about 80 with one or two stutters and then dies in the arse, the last run i did it completely died, now the question is how can you check how much fuel is in the bowl of a 32/36 while its running because i know its going to be somthin really simple to fix the problem

i was reading on another site and came across this

You don't. Like most carburetors, you check the static float level when the carb is (partially) apart.

About the fuel regulator, you only need a regulator if you are running a high-pressure fuel pump. The 32/36 uses a standard pressure, 1-5 pounds should be OK (spec is around 3 pounds, exactly what an A12/A14 pump puts out).

does your regulator have a boost reference, and if so can the pump keep up to the boost pressure?

ive been tinkering with it and it seems that ive fixed the problem, i relised that i was screwing the wrong screw for the jetting, but i found it and its seems to be running alot better.

I had this problem as well. It was a massive lean out due to draining the fuel bowl. very bad for your engine.

An AFR meter will tell you for sure. I fixed the problem by drilling out the main fuel inlet..... forgotten what its called, but the valve that the float is attached to (float valve??) Anyways, as standard it is only about 1.5mm, which clearly will not flow enough to support 1.45 and 1.70 main jets. From mrmory I drilled it out to 2.5mm with no problems (still seals fine when closed)
