anybody know whats available in the US for replacement suspension bushings and strut cartridges?

I've seen the Superpro Poly products on the site but I assume its AU only and cartridges I haven't checked with any parts houses yet. Anybody on this side of the pond buy any?

Alternatively, are there any complete front end swap overs that are a direct bolt up without modification problems that are actually better then stock? Like a 310, Pulsar, Stanza, etc...

Ideas anyone?

I want to completely rebuild the front end as I'm stripping it down to a shell for a complete paint job, I want it to go back together right.

Thanks, Evan

OK, after poking around in the Wiki it seems that 310 struts & brakes will swap over. What are the pit falls of doing this & can you run a 12" wheel with the 310 larger brakes?

I have a set of fairly unique 12" mags that I want to keep & would like to make sure they will still fit before going down this road.
Thanks, Evan

Try rockauto.com for the bushings etc... I bought some for the B210. I do have a 5% discount code if you need it.

If you have the cute 12" jellybeans and want to keep em your pretty , much going to have to stick with the 1200 brakes. You may be able to use some Wilwood calipers.
THE set-up is on this site , it's the C sedan suspension prep manual and works very well.
There is a guy that has a set of race/ coil over struts; I think the place is Black Dragon Z but don't quuote me on that. An internet search should bring it up. just hunt for 1200 struts.

I'm running the 280ZX struts, brakes , lower control arms and radius rods. It's a common mod here in the USA but it does require drilling the cross member, differant tie rod ends etc. (I bought the complete set up.) This set up needs at least a 13"wheel

Rear shocks are a no brainer if you can find an old pair of Koni adjustables (actaully I think they still make em) or KYB's these are plenty availible.

I'd use the standard bushings rather than urethane, I first used urethane before going to all spherical bearings on the front, for racing it's great but for street use the ride is fairly harsh.

One of the guys on here figured out how to get Bilstien inserts in the 1200 struts (do a search it was a long thread)

For the 12" wheels I'd try and find a Wilwood twin piston rear caliper bolted to a custon fabricated carrier (flat aluminum plate) , that would probably fit. Good rear shocks are east to get and the go with Bilstein mod. Finish it off with a set of sway bars and it will be a blast to drive.

Thanks for all the info guys.

Not sure if my wheels are the "Jellybean" wheels you're referring to but I would like to polish them up & keep them. By doing so that means that I have to stick with the stock rotor size. Are the Wilwood "rear" calipers from a rear axle setup or just a rear mount design vs. front of the rotor mount?

Where do i find Wilwood calipers?

Bluemax, were you able to get all the bushings, leaf springs, control arms, etc... from the supplier you mentioned?

Thanks again,
Evan
