Well Well, I have succeeded at last. I'm ptretty sure its either a 180b or 200b strut, I looked in the wreckers today and looked at a 200b caliper, but havnt found a 180b caliper to look at, but on my 120y ive got either a 200 or a 180 caliper and with a 5mm spacer plate a 12" rim will *just* fit. Ive been driving around and its been fine. So that means standard datto hub caps can be used. I'll let you all know when I find out exactly what caliper and strut it is. I'm not sure as i bought the car with it already in, I just thought I'd try the spacer and it worked!

man this is confusing me, the crossmember which the motor bolts is a 200B one in my car. So the late 120Y contol arms will bolt to that and a late 120Y ball joint onto that? Then there is that rod that goes out towards the front of the car, is that the radius rod? If so what are the outer rod ends, those brakets that the radius rod goes thru with the rubber and washers? wouldnt i have to use a 120y strut and spring so that the 120y rotor and caliper will fit, not 200b ones? Sorry for all the questions, i might have to try this on the weekend as I have most of the parts.

Ok is yours late model or early, you'll have to use late model arm and 120y balljoint together. The stanza control arm and late 120y, sunny control arms are all identical.
Early 120y control arms have different balljoint pattern same as early 1200's.
So your front end will consist of;
Late model 120y, stanza or sunny lower control arms Late 120y balljoints Stanza or sunny steering arms Stanza or sunny outer rod ends 200b struts Late 120y radius rods

okay, so just to get this into my thick skull... I'll use a 200B front end, put a stanza control arm (early or late stanza?), then put a late 120y balljoint thus using the standard rotor, tower etc.

Its easy, use a late 120y or late 1200 ute balljoint and then a stanza steering arm, the strut will bolt to this. If you want 10mm more track either side use a stanza balljoint.
As for using 200b struts with 120y brakes wouldnt have a clue but 180b or 1600 have similar brakes to the 120y, maybe 12's will fit over those.
Also its a strut leg not a strut tower, the tower is part of the car in the engine bay.
