Ahhhhh - I see the president of the "glass houses" society has turned up
Yes, perhaps there was a small off track excursion at Suttons corner - but as the saying goes .... when in doubt - flat out At least I know now that my winged sump and sump plug can withstand a fairly reasonable impact by the gravel rash on the sump plug! NEXT time it will all come together and the 52 will be mine Who is going to the speed weekend ?????? Cheers

Bathurst pick me pick me!!!
Now my car is going Bathurst is almost a certainty. I spent the last 3 months laid up after a shoulder reconstruction and will need my left gun back to be able to steer round the track.

must have been the weekend for 'offs'. I went to the Grafton Hillclimb for the first time on Sunday. 2nd fastest car there, but had a pretty big off on the last run trying too hard to get 1st spot. Just too fast through the esses and ran wide off the track, bounced over their version of a gravel trap - a mound of woodchip more like a garden bed which did nothing to stop the car, just got it airborne - and came to rest in a tyre wall! lol one of my better efforts! Amazingly ge when I got towed out there was no damage apart from a few scuff marks on the paintwork! good thing too with the AHC only a couple of weeks away.
I'm definitely in for Bathurst. oh, I might have video of 'that' run later in the week...

Good on you Harry !!!
Up there cazaly must be the theme this week I think I am a little too used to the Toyos cold grip levels and the Yokohama tyres certainly are different when cold Good to see you are joining in Craig - left gun ???? Is that 'spud gun' or mighty cannon ? You know that Benny holds the record for Mountain Straight so he will be hard to beat Cheers

Guys, I can't touch me car till Nov 11th after my last uni exam. Then I'm going to do everything humanly possible to get to Bathurst. Michael too if the car's sorted. I badly need a new H165 diff centre - anyone ??? A 4.8 would be the ticket!!

if you can find a fellow by the name of Grant Liddell up there in Newcastle, he has in his possession a 4.9 diff ratio. The story is he thought he had a 4.1 with his LSD & wanted to go to a 4.9. I found a Vanette here in Sydney & he came all the way down here to get it. Pulled the centre out of his car & it's already a 4.9. That's where it went to, says I, because i had a 4.9 in the car with the 1300cc engine. He might even be at King Edward Park this weekend.
