Ahhhhh - I see the president of the "glass houses" society has turned up
Yes, perhaps there was a small off track excursion at Suttons corner - but as the saying goes .... when in doubt - flat out
At least I know now that my winged sump and sump plug can withstand a fairly reasonable impact by the gravel rash on the sump plug!
NEXT time it will all come together and the 52 will be mine
Who is going to the speed weekend ??????
Cheers

Thanks mate! Didn't go as well as I had hoped Thought it would be good to try the Ao48 Yokohama (used) that I will have to use next year for racing - hmmmm, Toyo RA -1 they are NOT
The car should have been quicker (or the driver should be ) as I have done 53.3 previosly and was aiming for a 52 something.
Never mind though, I think we have a direction to head for to eliminate the rear loading the car is afflicted with I really want it to do consistant 52's with the current motor before we add the mandatory extra 50 HP it needs
The Escort that was going to sort me out had a mechanical issue and only got one run - I know that feeling but I'll take the victory while it is there (it has got monster HP - so I'm in trouble when he gets it going)
Next event OLT then off to Bathurst !!!!!
Cheers

Just checked the times...
Not bad mate, 53.67.
Boss had a 52.41

and to put that into perspective for those who haven't attended one of these events:

Stock Mistu EVO9 - 49.98
Stock Lotus Exige - 52.38
modified rego'd WRX - 55.33
modified rego'd XR6 Turbo - 53.38

Getting a lap time on par with a Exige is no easy feat. OPsouth is a smooth flowing track with only short straight. If your car doesn't handle, your not going to perform well against these cars on this track. So well done Jeff! She must be a joy to drive now!

I might come up for a look but won't be bringing the datto sadly. I'm looking forward to making some changes to my suspension also. I've got a fair bit of work to do before getting stuck into the supersprints next year.
