then it may be the length of the insert, don't know how short the 240sx ones are, but i believe they are the shortest ones. using those would give more travel if the body is shortened to the length those need. adding length to the bottom gives back travel too.

hehe suspension geometry is fun!

im not using the cut springs,
they were only cut as a guide to see how low i need the car.

the problem has never been with cut springs, its all about acheiving lowness without bottoming my sorry ass out all the time.

between shoretening the strutbody and using the 240sx strut inserts and adding the lower roll center adjuster, I've never had a problem bottoming out.

perhaps part of the problem is the cut springs. But not just cut springs, even lowered springs will cause you to loose travel, the 2" lowering springs would take 2" of travel out ... right?

So you are best to just put an ad in the classifieds for lowered struts to suit your needs.
Coil overs will not fix the problem if the shock is bottoming out.
Going coil overs to fix your problems that you describe, will mean you are doing more dicking about in the end.
Best of luck.

id prefer not dicq around if its just going to be easier to whack a complete coilover setup or and adequatly lowered set of struts if anyone has anything of that description for sale.
i have too much other sh1t to do to the car by end of november than to have to waste a heap of time mucking around with it.

If there is plenty of room to put the spring perch as low as you like. What will be the advantage of putting coilovers? All you will get out of it is adjustable height. Its not going to do anything about your shock length being too long, if thats what you believe is the problem.

Hey pepper, im running 200B struts on my 1200 at the moment with modified 1200 spring perches and lowered king springs. Im also running a 15inch rim and it sit nice, but just a little high for what i would like. so im thinking of upgrading to superlows on the front and keep the struts the same.
you might have to go for a set of coilovers to get what you want, then there adjustable and you can fine tune.

kinda sounds like you need coilovers to achieve what you want.

I didn't do it because it was cool, it seemed the sanest way to get the car set up.
