hello all, im a new member from the Phillippines! i'm in the market for a datsun 'ute'. i'd like to know if the square headlight-black plastic grill version is interchangeable with the round headlight-chrome grill-chrome bumper versions? the one available in my country is the square headlight one. i am more of a round headlight guy. would there be any fender/frontend work required or can this be a straight bolt-on affair?

if it is straightforward, where can i attain such pieces? are they avbl brand new? where can i get these? any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

TIA!!!

I've seen a round headlight 1200 ute in Ormoc City, Leyte. I would say it was just a one off sighting.
Member 2332owner might be able to shed some light on whats involved in the swap. I believe you need to modify the radiator support for where the headlights mount.
Australia, Japan or New Zealand will be you best bet for a used metal grill and headlight surrounds.

You can even buy a kit to do the conversion. These kits range from just the headlight adapter that allows fitting of the round light in the square hole, right up to a complete kit that includes everything including the round lights & a new coupe/ute grille.

Once you actually have a ute, check back & I'm sure that there are members who can steer you to suitable Japanese websites for these things.
