Right, as I said I want the same track, and that would be like adding an 8mm spacer on either side.

And,

Thanks for the reply though... but I'm more interested in if my idea has some flaws.

coilover=height adjustable
what im seeming here is one brand spankingly new/clean orig setup.
Looks to have everything new but no coilover sleeve to adjust height. Plenty of people have adapted s13 brakes to fit the kb110 (disk) struts with no problems.
The disk WILL just slip over the hub of drum brakes but the disk hub DOES need to be machined so it will fit over. I still havnt gotten to it but im thinking it possible to use hub off drum strut on disk strut to fit the rotors. Then its just a case of getting an adapter made up to mount calipers and then fitting lines and bleeding.
I will soon be updating to this and believe it will be adequate

I have my ute setup exactly how I want it as far as wheel/tire combination and fender clearance, but I want to upgrade my brakes. Right now I'm using the stock disc setup which uses a very small solid disc and small caliper mounting bolt spacing. I've already made coilovers out of the struts I'm using and don't really want to change struts.

What I plan to do is have new hubs made up that will have the outer face of the hub 8mm inwards to compensate for S13 discs between the hub and wheel. This way the wheels will be in the same spot, Then make up so brackets for the calipers.

What I want to know is if there's something I'm not seeing like problems with extra stress on wheel bearings or something along those lines and I'm open to suggestions.

Here's old pics of the current setup before I cut it up and made coilovers out of the struts:
