1200 ute is not a full chassis.

Rules vary a lot between state's.

i have an engineered n/a 12a in my 1200 ute.

but could not find an engineer who would sign off on a forced induction rotary.

Hi, the motor i got is a 12at but you gotta double the cc's. You can't even stick a naturally aspirated 12a in because the car doesn't weight enough, the law is you gotta time the tare weight by 2.5 for a turbo engine (in qld) and thats the maximum cc's you can have but with a full chassis commercial vehicle (dato 1200 ute) you can stick any performance engine up to something like 3.2ltrs you time the tare weight by 4.68 or something. long story but old mate told me some s*** that he thought was right but wasn't

Hi Mate,

I imagine you are taking about the 13b? Try checking the 12a, as I believe (at least in some states) that it is okay.

Cheers, Ian

Hi guy's i typed up a big post before pressed the wrong button n it was gone haha so im gonna give you a quick explanation and just ask any questions if need be

Its a dato 1200 wagon i bought it as a have done project, 2 doors were primed and the left rear qtr, it's been in a bingle the right rear qtr is damaged, wat was missing was the front and rear bumper, headlights & surrounds, eyebrow moulds and maybe some other little stuff i don't know about. What i've bought for it is as follows
-new bonnet and front guards
-got another set of rear tails light there's 5 all up
-got a rear bumper in good condition got minor dings
-new eyebrow moulds
-new genuine right rear qtr $$$$(paid big for that)
-2 grills in good condition

I got 2 box's of i don't know wat, one has got engine stuff (they've pulled the heads off) n the other has got interior stuff by the looks of it. cars got minimal rust the majority of work is in welding in the new rear qtr, there's no other dings anywhere else.

i want $1500 for it, the cars located in toowoomba qld. im workin on photo's this arvo, pm me n i'll send them to ya im not sure how to put them on the page and i think thats bout it. reason for selling is i was putting a rotar in it which this engineer told me was legal 2 months back n i rang him today for somethen else n thought i'd double check n apparently its not so yea long story

cheers leith
feel free to ask any questions would like gone in a couple weeks if possible.

ps- might consider swap for 1200 ute rolling shell with cash adjustment
