If so you have a rare bird.

1966 export 82 vehicles
And only four were commercials -- if you have a 1966 export Datsun 1000 ute, it is one of the rarest of vehicles.

This is for 1966 production date, rather than 1966 model year. Apparently Japan doesn't have a 'model year' in the way the USA does (October-October). Does Australia have a model year concept?

EDITED
The first B10 vehicles to be released were the 2 door Sedan & the van. It's the Van that would be regarded as the commercial model & the ute was added during the next years model run.

The model year went as follows, as per factory published data.

From October 1966 to September 1967 [1967 model year] 2 Dr sed & van only
From October 1967 to September 1968 [1968 model year]4 Dr. Sed. added in Oct '67, Ute added Dec. '67 as 1968 model
From October 1968 to June 1969 [1969 model year] Sunny Coupe added July or August '68 as 1969 model.
From July 1969 to December 1969 [1970 model year] No additional body styles.

Ah, good information. I have updated the chart in the club wiki and added a chrono-list of the dates.

I was thinking those 4 1966-produced wagons probably went to Taiwan or somewhere in SE Asia. Or maybe to consulates.
