Great to here that another car club is in the pipe lines, just be carefull about being to relaxed about car mods to get historic reg. I have heard that the motor reg. have been keeping an eye on things and if car clubs abuse things related to being original/historic they could up the prices for all historic regoed cars, or even stop historic reg. all together. In general some safty items can be changed, but modified engines are a no go.
Its just one thing to keep in mind.
Cheers Scott

i know wat you mean but all the clubs are anal 4 exampel they dont pass it if you have any of the following . sports steering wheel , mags , sport seats , upgraded brakes, but if they feel its to hard to find the original parts or in the name of safty its ok but my old club wont approve brake upgrades , i have read up on all the rules for post vintage rego and theres lots loop holes as long as its a small club with minimum members it will be fine , i know a drag car thats on post vintage and has been on it for about 6 years , cars are ment to be inspected once a year but if the car is off the road you dont have to lol
this is for people that have a datsun as a project car , most of us dont drive our datsuns often

Hey guys this is a very tricky area and not as easy as ya may think.
I've been heavily involved in a few car clubs over the years and at the moment my FJ is on concessional licence. The concessional licensing laws are strict and with larger clubs there

looks a bit hard to get away with engine mods etc... the scrutineer would have to have big balls...

ok just a update i have all the forms to fill out.
basicly i have to start the club wit docep and once its all up and running then i can apply for post vintage rego wit the dpi .
its around $220 to start the club i will pay this myself as its to hard to get people to pay for a club thats not off the ground yet , it will be a not for profit club so if theres no bills well the fees will be $0
and we will need 30 members in the club to be able to apply 4 post vintage:)
