does anyone know if the h165 torsen centre will work in a 4.875:1 ratio h165, i think we had trouble making up a h165 centre once becuase we could not use components from a 4.11:1 centre

can anyone shed further light on this?, as i'm now suspicious i will not be able to use this torsen in my rally car as i will want to keep the 4.875 ratio

Sounds like there was an A vs B issue bud? I recall DD writing up something about the bearing size or something that differs between the two. As it is I'm getting mine fitted up to a 78' 4.11 ute diff over the next few weeks, hopefully the gears aren't too rooted cos I according to the nikko writing on my other centes one is a 4.3 and the other a 3.9 and 3rd gear is dropping too many revs with a 3.9 and less than 150kph flat out would make me a sad panda. According to some private property testing I can only manage 164....>_<

I do recall someone telling me there was a difference when fitting some gears at some stage... Cant recall exactly what he said he did but it wasnt a major change and was still able to fit the LSD...
What did the 4.875 ratios come out in...?
