acually will leave the driveway this weekend for a short trip to the shop for an alignment, and then return for me to sharpen my datto skills and study further on the 1200 way of life........

A few notes: Rear shocks are available from several sources. Idler Arm Bushes can be had from Checker / Kragen (I just got some) as well as Control Arm & Radius Rod Bushings.

As for Leaf Spring Bushings; Paeco will make them for you , just plan on about $25 a pop. I use the urethane ones on the spings and where the shackles bolt to the chassis those are soft aluminum ones that I got with a big batch of parts (somebody machined them up).

1200's are a niche car so as the cars get older we are more and more likely to have to machine up these small parts. For the moment though I've just been hunting around like you guys, it takes a little bit of leg work but the stuff is still out there.

well I should of known it seemed too easy, I received the struts from CA. & what do ya know, they sent me two different cartridges.

Just when you think you've got it licked it turns around & bite's you in the a**. Back to trying to order one cartridge from Nissan & see what happens, I did order all the rear bushes at the same time since Kelmo apparently has NOT gotten the last set...yet. we'll see if anything turns up, I'm not so hopeful this time.

I pulled my old strut assembly apart yesterday to try & confirm which of the two new ones were correct & wouldn't you know the ones that were in there weren't even branded, just #'s.

Interestingly they were gas charged as I could
collapse it & it would pop back up slowly, they may still be good.

without a cartridge being in the car so you can check for rebound how does one bench test a strut cartridge aside from obvious issues like leaks?
