mik, dan used camry shocks in his new front end setup...but there was a list of about 20 odd toyotas. st150 corrona and 93 camry are 2 that he can remember
they are 30mm shorter than 240z i think

we just went to pedders and asked what shorter shocks there were that would fit in the datsun strut tube and the camry ones were the next shortest from 240z

lowendtheory, do you have stanza or sunny steering arms or standard ones? as the stock ones have a different bolt spacing to the bigger stuff

I've taken the spring off mine... the problem is the eye to eye distance between the two bolt holes at the bottom. they are about 80mm whereas the ones on the thing (pitman arm, is that what it's called?) that the strut sits on are about 75mm.

it looks like you do need to compress the spring a bit to get it on there.
i had no such problem with my 200b struts into b120 when they were the standard length before
i had them shortened by 50 odd mm using camry shocks.

sure they are 200b? should be same as stanza that will fit sunny lower control arms?

other wise you might need spring compressors to get enough leeway to ease them in.

dont use my method of compression which is jamming an old broken wrench into the lca so it doesnt travel up as i use a small hydraulic jack on the base of the strut to get it to the right height and then pop it on the lca.
