The strut brace in the photo is a "boof-bar". A member called "boofhead" made and sold them through the site. And they were nicknamed boof-bars for a fairly obvious reason( well hopefully it will be obvious now)

we purchased all the bars available, the cad design is on this site for the end plates.

If you searched, we divulged almost all the secrets in posts for how to make them.

shucks guys

mik stop trying to steal my glory !!! you were the silent partner remember ??!

if you're after the end plate design there are autoCAD files available, if you have a look for TnPshow's profile it has a link to his own datto site. after you get thru all the other informative stuff at the bottom of it all is the links to the files.

unfortunately there will be no more as as i cant get any more of the actual bar that was used. if you have a look in Keg's photo album there's a pic of the one he made up himself. i think it has come up great, the majority of the work is in the connection of the bar to the end plate and Keg's has done a great job
if you've got access to to a decent machine shop, a bar would be rather simple to make up.
if another bar becomes available at a reasonable $$ i think they'd sell like hotcakes !! i made 40 up and sold all of them, could have sold 80 easy !! mine were $145 posted from memory ?

thanks for all the positive comments to !! it's nice to give something back and know that the datto 1200 community appreciates the work by the fact that even those who have bought them, installed them, and then sold their car have kept the bar for themselves

I think i'll get some of the templates laser cut and machine up some alloy to try some of these out, once i get back to work in a few weeks. I'll keep people updated on the progress once i get going.
