Hey guys, Me and a mate are trying to sort out his carby turbo b310. Suck through an 1 7/8 su with an unknown turbo charger. I see a couple of you guys are using a Air/Fuel meter to do some tuning. What are they worth? where do you get them? Can I build my own out of an o2 sensor and an air/fuel guage?

you really want a wide band 5 wire type or you're not getting the most useful info, I have an EGT gauge also, between the 2 you can get a decent idea of what's going on.

What it won't do is tell you why. Figuring out why the A/F ratio is off and fixing it can be some work.

That said, I have a 1 wire one because the lambda controller uses that type. I have a 4 wire one that could be put in for better readings.

Yes all you need is an o2 sensor, a bung welded in the exhaust and a gauge that can read it ( or an analog multimeter with a 1v range )

I've got a messed up A/F problem, and fixing all the things that might be causing it is a pain, but overall it works better. I've only got 3 things i can adjust and it's still work.

All i want to do is get an a/f reading as stock. so i know that the thing is in a reasonable state of tune then plumb the turbo in and adjust the carby as required to get the a/f back to a semi normal state. just as a base tune before she goes in to get done by someone who knows their ####

just a tip try not to think its going to be a varible reading, Generally they with just tell u weather its rich lean or stoichometric no in betweens...
