over in perth the ca18de 's are slow movers

i had one for sale for a while 130,000kms motor and 5 speed box complete only got 150 buck in the end

you might be better off sell the box buy its self

yer , the ca18det ' s sell like bread up on the gold coast, not the non turbos ca18 though.

The ca18de is a great engine in a 1200. I had one for 4 years.

4 people in the car and it pulled nicely.

The DET conversion is so easy once you've done the CA18DE, I would strongly recommend any 17-23 year old datto enthusiasts give this a go. As soon as I turned 25 (the good year for insurance) I installed a CA18det.

The upgrade from DE to DET took about 6 days of weekends, taking it easy and doing it all with my dad's help.

ps.. the DE has a lovely loud exhaust that sounds awesome.. Sounds like a worked L18 with webers. Much better than the DET.

yer that was the plan to do exactly what you have just said, but then i got an a15 with dual carbies extractors for free, i had planned to put the a15 in , but am still thinking of what to do, what the difference in power? , was it a nicer car to drive, please convert me to ca power! lol
