I'm a little confused.... What's the differance in converting a B210 with a
"60" vs. the "63"?

5 speeds are getting pretty expensive in the US also. Most likely that's because they're a popular conversion for Austin Healey Sprites and MG Midgets.

The 63A is a bit less expensive on the whole but also less frequently seen on Ebay.

Whether these prices are a good indication of what you need to pay if you can find a gearbox I don't know, but they certainly make Australian prices cheaper than bringing a box from the US. New Zealand is probably the best option.

for a NA A15 the standard 60 would hold up, for a boosted engine, the 1-2 shift will have a lot of load and will probably end up breaking the case, the 63A will help since the 1-2 shift won't be as fast, and it's stronger...

So I have been reading about the 5 speeds a fair bit as I want to get my hands on a datsun item, but the main question that I cant decide on is should I try to get the '60' or '63'? I guess the question is how much torque (approx) would a really worked forced induction a15 put out? I like the idea of the '60' box because its small and light.

I realize that the boxes are really costly and would be looking to fright it from over seas...

Thanks....

they tend to sell or around $350NZD on www.trademe.co.nz. If they are selling for that knid of money in OZ, it's probably a viable option to have one freighted accross the ditch.
