IT HAS BEEN CALCULATED THAT IF EVERYONE IN AUSTRALIA DID NOT PURCHASE A DROP OF PETROL FOR ONE DAY AND ALL AT THE SAME TIME, THE OIL COMPANIES WOULD CHOKE ON THEIR STOCKPILES.

AT THE SAME TIME IT WOULD HIT THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY WITH A
NET LOSS OVER 4.6 BILLION DOLLARS WHICH AFFECTS THE BOTTOM LINES OF THE OIL COMPANIES.

THEREFORE FRIDAY FEBRUARY 22nd HAS BEEN FORMALLY
DECLARED

Hasnt this already been attempted?

And if they make such a loss on 1 day and end up in finantial termoil... wont the oil companies just up the prices to something stupid the following week to make up for it. Its the export market thats ####ing the prices up. we mine more then enough light crude(used for petrol) then the whole country needs.

Sure i wont buy a drop of "Petrol" on the 22nd. But if my 'Cruiser needs Diesel ill fill her up!

yeah so everyones going to buy petrol on the 23rd cause they didnt get it the day before.. ?

we drive cars, we need fuel, lifes life, if thats what it costs, deal with it

I made a statement to the oil companies by switching to lpg!

Every time I buy gas, I get full service at 1/2 the full service petrol price. Really what better statement can you make?

Nobody makes us buy giant SUV's. People buy petrol vehicles because it's convenient.

Countries where there are government incentives to use alternative fuels, you should make the conversion.

On this day everyone should buy a fuel other than gasoline.

I always said that when the government makes the steps easier for us then I will take advantage of that, Green electricity is now available and when the new plans come out that cost the same amount to go green then I will (around the middle of the year). If they make biofuels or whatever else that will run in the ute with minimal modification, then I will use that... Basically, I will do everything that is easy, even if it costs more...
