Wow

Unbelievable

Maybe a reverse rewind is needed

Could the E15 starter motor can be reassembled so it spins the right way?

From memory, I remember with radio control cars, we just pulled the end bell off and rotated it 180 degrees.

I'm not sure about this, and I no longer have any removable endbell DC motors (RS-540) to test this purely 'from my memory' theory.

is there any possibilty of swapping the E gear with the A gear, or maybe modify the E starter to spin the other way?

hey guys just got a major prob with my E15ET in datto1000 ute conversion. i cant seem to find a starter motor that will fit and work. the a series one fits but jams up (teeth dont line up) if i use a stock e15 starter it turns the motor backwards and a E15ET starter mouts on top of the gearbox. the closest one is a n14/n15 starter motor. it bolts up but doesnt connect with ring gear on flywheel. nothing else fits. has anybody done this or can anyone help. its all waiting to go all i need now is to be able to turn it over. please help :(
