Yes that's right. In USA, Arias, PAECO, and others will make custom pistons for Datsun 1200. You can specify Forged and whatever compression ratio you want, from low comp for turbo to high comp popup pistons for drag racing.

non turbo. stock piston length and would prefer standard pin size/height. port and polished head and intake. nice gouge in cylinder wall all the way out to 76.85mm but 77mm will work to and why not. not much left on the walls after that anyway. dont NEED turbo pistons but would consider it for future running times and conditions, but for now trying to keep it as stock in engine bay as possible. fan of the a series. what can i say

Hello every one,

I was disappointed, but 77 pistons disappeared from Japanese market.

I have a question to the mate who read this.
How many people say need with 77 pistons?

If amount is bundled up, there is the maker which 76.85 make even if 77 is impossible.

Can mate understand?

David-san
Thank you Wiki.

I was looking for 77mm pistons for A13 [19mm pin] but will use 78mm instead. [for A14 engine]
Now all I need are A13 rods [A12 length but with A14 wrist pin size]

The 77mm pistons use the smaller 17.5mm wrist pin so as to be compatable with stock A12 rods & the matching 'H' beam rods have the small wrist pin to be compatable with these pistons.

Pitroad list Pistons of this size & the image is from their website, however, just because they are listed, doesn't necessarily mean they they are currently available. [the link takes you to the English version of the website. Select 'Catalog' then 'A engine parts' & have a look at item 25, "A12 Hammering piston set"]

My own personal experience says to deal through B. Projects as Pitroad seem to be more domestic market oriented while Toshia san is very helpfull, VERY much customer oriented, wherever we may be, & keen to do business.
I have some 78mm pistons coming from B.Projects for my short stroke A13.

B.Projects is headed by Sunny_Coupe110, three posts before this one. Contact him through one of his links in his post.

This set of pistons & rods are being sold as "used" on the PitRoad site. They are 76.8mm & are shown as being currently available. They call it the "1298cc piston & rod kit" & if anybody is serious about competing in a 1300cc class, then this is just the ticket.

B. Projects source some stock from PitRoad & seem to be easier & more keen to do business with us & if you are in Australia, we seem to have our own defacto B. Projects agent in Mike [Dundee 1000] He can be contacted on
BproAustralia@gmail.com

I used set only. 109.200Yen. Be quick.
[That's $1,124 US or $1,220 Aus]
