Im with Whorida, it's good reading about how people have come about getting their nicknames. Some are really quite obvious, but others have had me thinking pretty hard for a while.
Mine's pretty boring, just the number plates for the sunny.

Back in the early '90s I was on a USAC Formula 2000 race team. At one of the first events, our team principle was introducing us around to the officials of the sanctioning body. They were a couple "Goodfellas" from Joisey (New Jersey, think "The Sopranos"). It went something like this:
Marty: "This is Joe Hayden, Patrick Anderson, Tim White, and..."
Official 1: "Wait, did youse say his name was Dim Light?"
Marty: "No, TIM WHITE."
Official 2: "Oh, cuz we taut youse said 'Dim Light'."
The name sort of stuck. When my sister signed me up for the internot a few years later, somone already had "dimlight" so she added the "65" for the year I was hatched.

Plus, I ain't too very bright sometimes.

Whitesedan is pretty self explanitary although its more safari-yellow sedan these days, red stanza this week though as the 1200 is sidelined with a coolant out exhaust issue.
