Im a big fan of the dogleg shift pattern, shuffling 2nd to 3rd, when do you ever use 1st?

unless its a rally car, i would argue that 3-4th change is more important

I have seen a couple of 5 spd dogleg boxes recently in the US, they go for $350 - $450 $US.
Shipping costs are about $700 US (10 weeks by boat)
So from about $1200 you can get a S/hand box from the US. My offer was reasonable and open to negotiations.

Plenty more selling on ebay at these sort of prices. The Austin Healy demand is constant and contributes to the prices but the basic fact is that the 5 speed was only fitted to relatively few cars (and virtually none in Oz) so they are priced according to availability.

Makes a 63A box for US$375 pretty good buying!
