He sure did it up neat and clean. So, did he have to change the cam lobes to get cyl #2 to fire 360

This reminds me of a photo I saw in a mag a while ago. At some car show, some Mopar enthusiests had a factory prototype of a four cylinder Hemi engine. Like a 265 hemi, but with only 4 cylinders. Much like the 1900cc 4cyl commodore engine. Only not a puss holden engine!

Maybe it was a slow day in the back shed. Interestingly, this conversion couldn't be done so well to a 1974 or later engine as the distributor would be in the bit that was cut off. Other ignition arrangements would need to be made. There are a couple of points that I would have liked to learn more about. 1. The crank does not use a slinger at the rear as did the original. Was this intentional? 2. How did he install a rear crank seal? Probably in the rear plate. EDIT, yes it is, pic 16. 3. How did he seal up the half a welch plug hole on the left side? 4. How does he start it? [no starter] At least two other engines seem to have donated parts. The half a fan is from an A10, the flywheel looks like a heavier A14 item, which would be a big advantage in an oddfire twin like this, & the rocker cover is not from this engine as it was gray while the original is blue. He also appears to have lead wiped the weld join on the rocker cover instead of using some more modern filler. Obviously a very tallented man.

I looked at the site, it looks like the engine is going in a small tractor or some things of that nature... perhaps a dedicated water pump ... i have to wonder what he's up to... his name on the gallery is Diesel Homer
the site was in finnish i'll see what else i can find out from it. i can say it's not going in a "car" or other motor vehicle of that sort.
