hey guys.

Did something stupid this morning and got defected.......does anyone know how picky the inspectors are. My coupe has a fair bit of rust in the undercarriage. nothing structural just holes in the floor. I have no carpet in the front. no side mirrors. no stereo, just wires hanging out of the dash. Is there a particular spot I can take the car to where they go lite on dattos???? I am in Perth WA.

Cheers -Liam

#### that didnt take you long Liam!

The would probably pick all that stuff. Just make sure everything looks neat and tidy. wrap those wires up and tie them out of sight.

Depends on the day and the inspecter.

Do what Mike said and yeh, go from there!

That sux i got defected last weekend.

Did you just get pulled over or why did they pick on you? and did you receviece a defect notice? cause normally dont you just need to get a roadworthy and supply it to the transport department and its all good?

or do you have to actaully take your car in?

Yeh if you got a yellow sticker you need to do a full pit inspection. They should have told you what you need to do or should be on the notice somewhere?

they will definately not let a car through with rust in the floor.

carpet must be in good condition, altho if not installed then they can't defect you for that.

wiring must be secure, otherwise removed. not having a stereo is not a factor.

you need a rear view mirror and driver side mirror only here in VIC.

yea, if you get a yellow sticker you have to have an inspection,
we don't have roadworthy certificates over here..

What do you mean you dont have roadworthy certificates over there? Dont you need a roadwortyhy certificate when you register your car?

Anyway i was under the impression if you get defected like I did, i did not get a yellow sticker on my car, then all you need to do is hand in a roadworthy. However if you received a yellow sticker then you need to produce your car for a full inspection?
