Yeah, I hate Holden's, but I can tolerate a nice Torrie.

Sorry to jump totally off topic, but I have an original XU1 GTR grille badge. Anyone have an ide what it's worth? I've been told anywhere between $20 (that guy was an idiot) and $200.

Torrys are pulling crazy money these days, so if you can find the right person, I'd be leaning more towards the $200 figure than the $20 ;)

My first car was an evil 1965 RT40 Toyota Corona... 4 wheel drums, 4 speed on the tree.... lucky I'm still alive.

I blew up 4 motors in that thing.

I went from there to 70's BMWs (which I still have one that is going to be my daily once the 1200 restoration begins in earnest) and now the 1200 coupe which was my wife's first car. We've had the 1200 for 10 years.

if it is a genuine grille badge of an xu-1 then it will be the same as your everyday lc/lj torana badges and nothing special so porbably be worth $30

It's the actual GTR badge, not the LC/LJ grille emblem. NOS GTR badges are $50, so since mine is genuine Holden (which you cannot buy) it should be worth more.

You gotta put things like this in perspective I suppose. We don't value Holden stuff because we like Datto's, and pay some crazy prices for Datto stuff. Some bloke rebuilding his genuine XU1 GTR may pay through the nose, and then laugh when I tell him what a GX bonnet goes for.

Way off topic, sorry.
