the adjustable strut tops allow me to run some neg camber. i'm only running a little bit at the moment but might go some more later.

if the 31 strut doesnt fit is it easy to swap r31 brakes on 200b, 180b or other strut that fits? The only differients is 200b's are solid and R31's are ventilated rotors and thicker, For memory i had to put a spacer when bolt caliper to make up the diff'er...for even wear on the pads...

yeh they are very picky. the rims i used to have were 26mm over standard and the legal limit was 25mm, got knocked back as well. they don't rub at all really.

you will want to run a minimum amount of vented rotors. Hoppers stoppers will be able to supply you with a VT twin piston arrangement. They use a standard datsun hub coupled to a magna 28mm thick rotor. I have seen this done a few times before. Works a treat. As for the struts, I have upgraded to stanza struts, using my origional lower control arms but using the stanza strut mount on the 120Y ball joint. There is no increase in track. All origional specs. I need to get some neg camber into it through the strut tops. It is the best way as your track and wheelbase remain origional.
Using the Stanza struts makes sense as it uses a 100mm spring V's nearly all others that use a 150mm spring. more room for strut top adjustment. Unless you get a R31 strut modifies for coilovers.

It might be worth your while taking time to read Guidelines VSI09 Paragraph 3 under Wheels. Here it is below. Read it carefully for what it actually tells you. "Where non original axle or suspension components are fitted, the offset of the wheel in relation to the axle or stub axle assembly used shall not be increased by more than 12.5mm each side of the vehicle based on the specifications of the axle components used. If an axle assembly is shortened then the track width limit is taken as the axle manufacturers original track dimension, less the amount the assembly has been narrowed, plus 25mm."

thanks for that guys.
Hotrocket: if i put r31 brakes and calipers onto a 200b strut, do i use the r31 bearings, etc. or the 200b ones? EDIT: do any control arms have to be changed for the 200b strut?

should be same from emeory as hubs are same. just remebered you will have to cut of bottom spring pearchs and weld on sunny or 1200 ones for the springs. 200b ones are too big
