i have a nice kenwood head unit to go in my 1200 ute along with a amp and im planing on having 6x9s in the doors and some 6inch splits in the kick panels infront of the doors.
Will this work or am i waistin my time

and thats pretty loud, if ur looking at doing 6x9's mabe buy a box so u can put them behind the seats on the ground?

the previous owner has put different seats in it (pretty badly too) and there is barely enough room for paris hilton let alone a box for the 6x9s

i have obx race sets in my and there 2cms from teh back wall and theres heaps of room at the buttom

Your planned setup sounds a little wrong to me. You might see show cars with 6" and 6x9s mounted right next to one another, but itdoes bugger all for sound quality. 6x9s really should be mounted to the rear, and they're more suitable for full bodied cars.

If I were you I'd buy some good quality 6" splits and mountthem in the kick panel, tweeters in the corner of the dash. I'd also get a four channel amp and one of those base driver mini subs, both can be angle mounted under your seats.

If your seats are that bad convert it back to standard, then you might even be able to fit a 10" woofer, although that would be overkill.

Yeah go the splits in the doors, they are heaps better for sound quality... mount the tweeters high.

I'm unsure if my ute will ever get sound, but if I were to install anything it would be 6 inch splits in the door/kick panel and probably something like a 8 inch sub and another fill in speaker behind each seat an amp for the 4 speakers under one seat and amp for the two subs under the other seat and a cooling fan setup for the amps... yep I think that I have just talked myself into some sound for the ute... lol... of course in my ute it will have to be totally removable with no screw in mounting points as I don't want to touch the original interior... will have to find a funky oldschool looking head deck...

the passenger seat has a nice amount of room behind it, enough 4 a 6x9 but the driver seat is set back more and is about 30mm lower so it might be a tight fit
when i get it home ill take the seats out and c wat the hell is wrong!!!
