My first car, a '75 corona, had a blown output seal on tranny, so we drilled a hole through the floor pan, glued a bit of garden hose into the filler hole on side of trannie, and top it up while you drive. only used about a litre an hour.

I had a leaking wheel cylinder in my Morris major so instead of fixing the problem I undid the brake line stuffed it with two matchsticks and some bluetack then attached the bleed nipple over the end of it, it seemed to plug up the hole in the bleed nipple quite well until one day during a hard stop the pressure was too much and the whole lot shot out the end of the nipple and I lost all brakes and ended up crashing that car.

lol, a picture speaks a thousand words:  only drivers seat, not bolted in, steering wheel wasnt bolted on, no doors, no seat belts front guards, poor brakes, lol oww so much fun

ow also its got a really big golf buggie battery thATs tie in there some how and the fuel fillter is one of those $1.99 carby inline ones blows up like a ballon where running

Well my story is somewhat entertaining.
I went to Wedge Island for a weekend with a friend to strip an oval window VW that we found a few weeks before out in the dunes that was mostly complete.
On the way to the VW, we passed thru 'Marlows' and found a corrolla sedan and a escort panel van, COMPLETE! That was a rare find, so we looked at the corrolla, and decided that it was the best option.
No fuel, no water, very salty, off to the tip for parts.
We collected a few emply milk bottles, and went to the beach to get water for the radiator. Filled that up, then put some fuel into one of the now empty milk bottles, and tied it in the engine bay with some string we found, and ran the fuel line into that that. Nicked a battery from another car there, and jump started it from the ole datsun 720 ute. It came to life!!!
So my mate jumped in and the clutch cable snapped. Rusted into the firewall. DOH! So that just means its a push start and flat changed!
We nicked a tyre from marlows, tied that to the bar on the 720 and bam a custom push cart!
We spent the next hour thrashing the bugger out of that corrolla and it didnt die. When it was time to swap over, you put the corrolla in 1st gear, and jumped out letting it idle along, and then the other person jumped in.
It statred to make cooking noises so we promptly drove it back to the marlows, and dumped it. On the way back, the steering wheel came off the steering column, so we towed it back the last k or so.
Upon later inspection, we found that the front wheels were only just on and were pointing in opposite directions. No wonder it was so hard!

Oh and then ther was the time that the fan belt snapped on the cruiser underground.
That was a simple fix, grabbed a calico sample bag from the tray, tore it into strips, and viola, a custom fan belt.
That of course meant that whilst it was turning the water pump a little it wasnt enough, so we stopped every so often to let the ole girl cool down. The alternator was also left out of the loop, so to speak.
So then the battery died not long later, so we drove the last half with our heads out the window with our cap lamps on.
It was a slow trip up.

well my dodgy repair was with a holden gemini wagon well we decided to see what would happen if we were to drive it flat out into a wall of 20litre foam boxs filled with water end result was a completly trashed front end it pushed the radiator on top of the motor it sat there for for a few months until we decided to get it going again so we got the tractor and pushed it home the whole front end was pushed in so we got a couple of sledge hammers and done some panel beating now we didnt have any radiators that worked but we had a 20L drum....... after a few hours of brazing and beating etc it was fitted in and we ran it like that for a few months it was completly gutless but it worked

lol.. a few too many jackass videos eh? I would have loved to see the footage if you had filmed it... brrrrr . CRUNCH .. AH F%$% keep them coming guys, this has shaped up to be a pretty entertaining thread. and now my 'bodge' isn't seeming much like one anymore :\
