Yes in NSW at least the govt, treats a 13b as 2.6 litre, with the maximum allowable capacity being approx. 2 litre NA.

There is a complete step by step with pics of fitting a rotary into a 1200 on this site, use the search button, it may take a while to find but its worth it as its very good.

Does this mean that a 13B is too big in the gov't eyes? I think that unless going with a huge turbo or something that a CA18DET is a more potent combo and there are a bunch of those in Aus by the look of things.

where abouts are you? if you are in aus and want it registered forget it much to drama to get it engineered better off going ca or sr or some other hi performance 4 that is with 2L capacity

Hey i'm new to this but i really want to put a 13b into a 1200 ute but i have had trouble finding any info at all on how to approach this project. Is there any way of purchasing a subframe all engineered and made up ready for engine mounting or any specs on how to modify one. Any help or guidance would be much appreciated.
