haha I said over a 1200, a 120Y would be different ;) But seriously Old corollas, old datsuns, old mazdas, I dont see how people can love one and so despise the others, they are all equally cool.

Try 100kg heavier than a 1200.
Saw the real mcCoys a plenty while living in japan for 3 years and still think they are lesser versions of a well sorted Rx3 or even a well sorted sr20 1200 coupe.

Quite big and heavy the Ts are at 144kgs dressed but you can halve that weight with a daihatsu HD sohc 16v on quad mikunis that revs to 9k all day untouched bottom end as done by MRT with their 3 year Australian rallye under 2ltr champion detomaso.
Now that distributorless ignition is so cheap Id love to see one used on a K. Even the rocker cover with the word

Yes I know its not a datsun clearly, but with the love we have for old datsun, the same can be said for others.
I'm a toyota man myself yet love datsuns also and building my 1200 sedan as we speak. 74's came with the big bumpers here in the U.S but everywhere else did now and here the 73 and older had small metal bumpers. Heavier then a 1200? Yes indeed, bigger? Yes, but it also has a bigger motor with likes of the 2tc and 2tg motors they were pretty strout new. You can view topic.
