My first Datto was a KB10 which was free and I bought a second one for parts for $120 which was complete and running with no rego.
Made 1 good car outta the 2 and sold it for $600.

Well so far I've only owned two Datsuns. Still have them both.
First one is a 1981 B310 Sunny that I bought for $250USD. Second one is a B210 that I got for free, just took tires, gas, coolant, oil, brake fluid and a battery and drove it from the spot.

Paid five US dollars for a somewhat rusty 1200, sold it within 24 hours for $50.00 then traded a B-210 for it and $500.00. It took a tank of fresh gas, cap-rotor-wires-plugs, and a new battery to make it run. It was our "shop whore" for quite some time until it burned (burnt?) an exhaust valve. Somewhere in the photo section are pictures of that engine after all the machine work was done. It is back in the car now and should be running sometime, um, this year?

The cheapest I did was a almost complete 81 ute for 50 bucks although no engine or seats, rusty as hell but I got heaps of parts and also sold a bucketload.
But the best I did was 2 utes and 2 ute loads of spares, new A14, new A12 turbo, 2 five speeds, 1 GX bonnet ( fiited to my old 2d sedan) one ute I sold for 7 grand and all the other bits were either sold or traded to finance my 2 door. The saddest one is I bought a complete matching numbers sedan had the engine rebuilt, fitted disc brakes this was a dream car. This cost me 500 unregistered had the engine done by a mechanic friend another 500 for that sold it a young for guy for $3500 who totalled the phuking thing, it makes me cry to think about it

my old man picked up a 1200 ute about 9yrs ago for $500 bucks, average body, good interior, running beautyful and with 6 or 7 months rego, would be a hayleys comet apperence to see one that cheap these days
