Well, I finally fingered out why the car in my avatar has been running so poorly. Apparently I blew the head gasket and/or warped the head last summer. I'm ashamed to admit that I've been driving around it for almost a year. Oops. Well, the head is off at the machine shop getting pressure tested, resurfaced, ported, polished, ceramic coated, flow-bench tested, shaved, primped, preened, and pampered. I'm thinking about a NISMO metal head gasket and ARP studs while I'm in there. We'll see.

That's a neat car! Is it a kit? Or moreover what is it?

It is a replica of a Lotus Seven Series III by a South African company called Birkin. They usually run a Ford Zetec engine but I had to use a Datto. Mine has an A-15, or at least the bottom end of an A-15 right now! I run the dual SU GX intake setup and figger I got about 110 or so horsepower. We ran the car across the scales and it weighed 1150 pounds. Let's see that would be, um, carry the two, 522.73 kilograms, give or take. So it's fun to say the least!
