My upgrade what I have done ,not on the car yet I use 120y hubs there is one model 1977 thats what I was told they came off they fit straight on the 1000 axle which they do I have tryed them they use the same bearings. 120y's have a taper on the hub where the bearing sits but the model I have look identical to the 1000 .The set up I have came from a 1000 coupe race car down here he has had no probs.with brakes he has very quick car.

This is the Sigma GE setup for 1000 that D did.
229mm solid disks
sigma calipers and caliper bracket
1200 coupe or 120Y hubs
1000 lines
1000 coupe or other later twin system master cylinder

Or you could just put 120Y or 1200 disks, hubs and calipers.

Or this hybrid that Jempson did,

Late model 120Y (1975ish) hubs and disc's (219mm diameter) which bolt straight onto the 1000 stub axles. Then get a GE Chrysler Sigma (the sigma with fake air vents on the gaurds), grab the calipers and caliper mounts, re-drill the caliper mounts to suit the 1000 stub axles (using the old drum brake as a template). Machine 2 mm off the heads of the 4 bolts that hold the caliper mount onto the stub axles, then assemble.

This is the Laser setup from Dattoman1000 on Beatties car.

and Dattoman1000s custom hub and caliper mounting plate.

Im running custom hubs from dattoman1000s brake setup but heres what ive seen ( i think )

early 1200 coupe? hubs (same as 1000)
Sigma disks and calipers and brakets. The brakets need 2 holes elongating to fit the 1000 hub pattern.

so search sigma?

vannete is easy to do all you have to do is use 1600 tie rods ends and vannete upper and lower ball joints this setup will give a little bit of neg camber and you might have a problem with the steering arm that the tie rod ends attches to being a bit high
