I saw a 1200 ute at the jamboree with a 12A turbo in it. Is it legal in queensland? And if you dont run too much boost, can a rotary be reliable? I wont be putting it in if
the seals need redoing every 50 thousand K's.

It's illegal in NSW. Even in non-turbo form.
A 12A rotary is seen as a 2400cc engine. 1200s have a maximum 1.8 Turbo or 2.3 NA limit based on weight. It could be different in QLD. Also the exhaust may be a pain getting around
the steering box. But there's been a few around, so it can't be too bad. But like you say, reliability may be a problem. And I wouldn't go down that path unless you have contacts
in the rotary world. (Yes, Rotary drivers live in another world, not that its a bad thing)

Chris.
