hey guys the difference you are talking about are between the ca18de and the ca18DET, not fwd and rwd, i'm pretty sure the the ca18det bluebirds had a cradle, differences are alternator on other side, plenum and injectors, slightly different sump, and engine mounts. blocks are the same. maybe flywheel or clutch? DET block has cradle and oil squiters.

The first answer talks about rocker covers and water galleries ??

I know for a fact that SR fwd's will not bolt directly onto RWD gearboxes, so I would assume ca's are the same....

Not so,
I got a girdle from an S13 DE motor. I'm fairly sure it's only the early model CA18DE/DET's, that were girdle less. The only CA I've seen that didn't have one was an old DET.
