just wondering if anybody is chasing ca18 engine and gearbox crossmembers for the 1200s as i may be getting about 5 sets made, the crossmembers are the same as the maddat crossmembers but the engine sits about 1 cm lower. i will only be chasing about 380 for these if its not an exchange. which is a few hundred less than the maddat ones. the members will be proffessional done by the guys that do my manifolds. i will only be charging what the frieght company will charge me for shipping aswell.

what will the gearbox x-member suit?

as in will it use the manual tunnel mounts.... surely they will need to be cut out... so it just bolts through the floor? and for which gearbox?

maybe instead of doing them like that they could be done like pigdog did his l-series x-member? i think it is a hell of a lot neater

using the tops of the original x-member....

i also like the way he did his gearbox x-member, there is more pictures in his gallery of this and gearbox mount

the gearbox crossmember is a universal design it can fit the r30, ca and gazzelle gear box same as maddats. the only difference is they use a piece of rigt angle bar for the exhaust to go past, we found that by using a piece of rounded metal works better as its stronger and you get more clearance

yeah as perthute said it bolts to the floor

this is before painting, we also found the quality of the welds are better

as for maddat saying 200 is that including the crossmember
