Back when I installed this, these things were known to pop when used with a high output coil. So I just used the stock coil for a while. Sometime later, I installed an MSD 6AL and used this to trigger the msd and blaster coil. I used to carry a set of points with me, just in case, for years but never used them.

So for the guys like me that are a bit out of date with the latest Datsun update trends And terms. Whats an MSD6AL. Maybe i could guess but its not a Jar of jelly beans and ive never won a guessing comp.

I received some emails asking where you can purchase the kit. You can order it from their website ( www.pertronix.com ) the part # is 1741. I been having it for more than 2 years and never had a problem. Really easy to put on and you will feel the difference right away. I went to a local auto parts and he ordered it for me from this website.
Cheers.....

I too bought a pre loved Pertronix kit & have never looked back. I also use a Bosch GT40R coil & a set of old stock Bosch Platinum plugs.
It fires up real good & never misses a beat.

Mate, I bought a Petronix kit for mine. It bolts right on where your points bolts on. After your done, no one can tell it's electronic cause it uses only 1 wire. I did buy an electronic racing coil and painted it black so it will look original. I paid $130 for mine, that was including shipping. I have seen them cheaper for $70. It works great !!!
