Must have been the gay race suit that made him crash.....

So it is a 1 warmup, 1 flying (timed), 1 cool down format?

EDIT: Just read supp regs...yikes
e) Entry Fee is as follows:
$450 for open class competitors; which includes timing transponder hire and a
garage. Garage allocation will be at the sole discretion of the Promoter.
$250 for Clubsprint Class; which includes timing transponder only. Clubsprint

they had 15 or 20 minute sessions throughout the day, with cars broken up into similar lap times groups of about 10 cars. You could use the session as you saw fit - like a traditional qualifying session. Then the 5 fastest cars from each of the 2 categories had a superlap shootout with 1 warm up, one flier and an in-lap.

entry was expensive, but they were offering prize money to help attract all the best cars to the one place at the one time. Its one of the most enjoyable track days I've done in a while. good atmosphere and some very serious and well driven machinery to watch when you weren't on the track. lots of trade displays, free dyno power runs, free car wash sponsored by kitten.

only shame was I couldn't bring the 1200. THe Supra was alot of fun, but just isn't the same... next year they're talking about a 3 round series across QLD, NSW and VIC. the 1200 will be there for sure!

hehe, i was standing right there watching that evo, my mate even has photos of it going in, up, and over.
but they did more damage to it rolling it back over, then it nearly hit the tow rodeo , that was a sight to see, nobody watching the evo, and it rolls down the hill almost hitting the tow rodeo.
but the gtr that went into the wall before the flip flop was cool too.
pretty cool buy the ol' wagon too

got the wagon registered yesterday took a little bit of work but nothing major.

replaced the wheel cylinders and a few oil seals - diff pinion and front seal on the engine. the fuel pump leaks a bit of oil as they all do. I'll pick up an electric one soon.

found a rear seat at a local wrecker, which came up OK after a degrease! the base has a few tears but the back is good. and new seatbelts

the heater out of my 120Y coupe project is in there now too.

I even gave the old duco a good polish and buffed the surface rust off the rear bar. The paintwork came up alright, but I don't like all the little dents in it, a few spots on the roof where birdsh!t has eaten through the paint, and the rough paintjob on the gaurds and bonnet, so i reckon she'll get a respray before too long. It came with almost a full 4l can of paint, so there's really no excuse!

so I now have my cheap run-around car on the road. filled her up for $40 yesterday! feels much better than $120 for the Patrol let me tell ya! Will probably pay for itself in about 3 months with the amount I save on fuel! And its hard not to smile when you're driving it around even got a wave from a chick in a new Merc this morning hehe

really want some 14" mags to get the gearing a bit better. the little 175/60*13 tyres just look so cute on it...

Geez it's a small world Harry,i bought the 1200 engine out of this, must have been 12-18 months ago.Bought mainly for the almost new extractors, which needed to be cut and shut to fit the orange KB10.The block now resides in Vixens sons car with differant internals, and the crank is being used in the mark 2 engine(still in the build)for the KB10,and it WILL run down those bloody Cooper S minis of Bruce Bunch & Co.

yeah i thought so!

here she is now all registered and with the old roof racks on to carry the canoe around

trial fitting my 14*7.5" +2 Focus racing wheels with 195/60 tyre. fits easy - just need to lip the gaurds to make sure they don't foul. I'll pick up some new tyres in the coming weeks and get them on the car. The liitle 175/60*13's have the speedo reading wildy optimistic and buzzing along the highway a bit more than necessary.
