Surely $700 was a bit rough. I would have thought $400 would have been fair. You can but a harrop tunnel ram cheaper that $700

700 was cheap as far as im concerned, if i sold another i wouldnt sell for less than that
if you want custom get custom.... if you want original it isn't that easy! i guesstimate one of these comes up for sale per year... if you let one go it's a long wait...

The Harrop tunnel ram is an available part while the Datsun A series factory EFI was never common anywhere, even when it was new & it's been out of production for decades. It was never sold on a new car in Australia either, so any examples here are private imports. I have two of them & for a complete kit of parts I wouldn't even show one to a potential buyer for $700, however, for the diligent searcher, affordable bargains can be found. It takes time, patience & some ready cash.

I think you're right that $700 would be fairly cheap for a complete setup, but from memory the last one advertised was a bare efi manifold for $700 (I have been pondering the possibilities of cheap efi for ages so did watch that one with interest). I do think that a bare manifold at that price is a bit steep, but as we all know on the board, it all depends on how much people are willing to pay. It would obviously be pretty tough to find the rest of the original parts for the system.

i think you are unlikely to use the rest of the original parts unless you are a hardcore originalist...
and that last one did come with most of the bits they just were not in the picture from my memory

It needed a throttle body off a magna. So I can only assume that it had been modified to accept one which in my view reduces the value as the origionality is gone and you might as well go custom. As for the purists... Go to hell. Your car never came with the fuel injection so your not in keeping with origional. Just factory gear from another model. Which is why, if you want performance you have to steer away from origional equiptment. End chant.
