Well its been a very long time between work on the datsun.. Little jordan has kept me very busy...

Had a chance to work on the car today.. it has been frustrating the hell out of me to walk past it in the garage for so long without lifting the covers, so today was like catching up with a long lost friend..

Painted up the valley cover, cam covers water pump pulley etc on the engine.. mocked up the engine damper?? and hacked up the fiberglass lip to accomodate the flares and patched up some solutions to see if its workable.. and then just generally basked in its awesomeness.

hoping to find much more time this year to complete the dream..

here is a pic or two..

Im a bit torn between mirror choices to be honest and seeing as you have to drill through your gaurd it has to be something im 100% sure on.. which im not atm :( so ill be leaving this decision till much later...

im thinking fender mirrors

eg,

and small carbon mirrors ( which i already have) like this which involve drilling into my door, so im pretty much screwed either way

i used that tubing that you hold flyscreens in with, just cut it down the center so it would go over the flare rim. worked well and looked pretty good.
