Hi Guys

I need this info please as mentioned in the subject. I have the same symptoms than ANGE had just after his 12a was fitted.
Everything is normal when cruising at 110km/h to 120km/h.
However when I start to go to 130km/h there comes a small vibration. As speed increases it also becomes more.Up to 140km/h where I then slow down again afraid it will cause serious damage.
Steering is fine as i can let go of the steering wheel and it does'nt have any vibration.
I have checked all 4 wheels on a high speed balancer and went out again. Little bit better but not much.Very little actually.
I suspect out of balance drive shaft which I don't know how it could have happened as it was fine before or bad uni joints.

Bad uni joints will have play in them if you hold the tail shaft and the joint out of the grea box / diff and try twist them in opposite directions there should be very little movement. If there is lots the joints are loose and worn out.

When you removed the tail shaft did you mark it to the diff and bolt it up in the same way again as this can cause vibrations if bolted up to a diffrent hole......
Hope it all makes sence good luck

Cheers

No, when we replaced the clutch we did'nt do that. . Can this really cause a problem?

I will check uni joints as mentioned. What I can mention is that the gearbox seal where the shaft comes out has been replaced and about 6000km now and it is leaking again. When I had my mechanic replace gearbox and diff oil, he checked for me to see why and we noticed there is a small play in the part where the tail shaft goes into the gearbox. He said this is a commen problem and they just hone and sleave it.It then does'nt have a play anymore and does'nt leak anymore and wear out seals.
Can this play maybe cause the vibration at high speed?

It can cause problems....
The play in the gearbox is also something i would get checked as movement here can cause bad vibration. Id get the gearbox movement fixed first befor worrying about the tailshaft as Id be guessing thats the cause of your issues.
