Need a Bowls hat to go with that tissue box on the parcel shelf. Or maybe an NRMA Gold Membership sticker (or whatever road assistance organisation you've got in SA). Can't have too much camoflage. Make them think it's granny spec, even if it has been in Zoom.

Haha, i was definitely going for the sleeper look so am happy with it. :) And the FM/i-pod made the missus happy. She's not a fan of the talk-back at all!
At the moment though, the 3 inch is sticking its nose out of the rear end. After a little research, I found out the exhaust must not exit beneath the vehicle. A new flange was welded on to the 3" where it finished and all good. The stock pipe was also welded to another flange so I can do a quick swap when it has passed.

I have driven it a few more times now and had the A/C running and it really is a neat package. I also need to give the old girl some respect, as a little 'look at my new toy' trip showed me it has some bite. Lesson learnt pretty quick, easy turbo...

Have finally had most finishing touches done, alarm went in today and over the weekend i put all interior pieces back in. The old carpet went back in, a little thrashed but good enough (I'm now broke). I had the rear seat retrimmed as the top of it was a little worn. Also had 1" of foam added to edges and centre. Front seats got the foam but material is original.
The only thing missing is the centre console. Really need to find someone who can plastic weld 2 consoles together...

Anyway, I took some pics of the car back together, dash and all! Also threw in some of the wheel arches where they were cut and re-bent. Turned out awesome. Unfortunately, I didn't roll the guards at the same time, as now these have caught and it will be back in the bodyshop for repairs and some massaging... Teething problems,,, that's all!

Just think, you'll be cruising along with the traffic, knowing you could blow the doors off most of the cars around you, with your favour music on the I-Pod playing through the stereo, & no one else will know it, unless they belong to this web site. Can we say Mega-Sleeper, yes we can.

The car has now hit the road. A few little teething problems which have now been sorted (apart from the f*@king tacho), but all good. Really happy with the way it drives, though rack & pinion would be nice. Compared to the 200sx I drove once, the pick up off boost is great. I assume from the lack of kilos it's lugging around.

Everything has turned out well, the guards look factory (will take a close up when I get time), so am very happy there.
Plenty of poke throughout the rev range, that I have dared to push. Still taking it pretty easy, short shifts and easy throttle till things wear in.

I saw a mate on the way home, but in 3rd-4th it was quite close to his car (series VIII RX7), so no complaints there. I am still waiting on my seats to get finished and full engineering to be done so street time is limited (but enjoyable).

Inspired by DDgonzals find, I hooked up a 'new' stereo...
A Clarion RP-454D from an early Skyline/Pintara hatch. It had no windscreen so was a bit suss on the condition, but tested it in the garage and no dramas!
I also pulled out an Alpine 3022, 5 band EQ I kept from when I hade my Mini 850. Coupled with the radio with a piece of wire as an antenna, it actually sound pretty good. The EQ does a fine job boosting the signal too. Well impressed!

Cassette player unknown quantity, probably won't be installed.

On another note: The Sunny is almost complete as far as body work goes. The 2IC at the shop said I'd get a call in the next few days, hopefully it has come out well. A bit of a worry I had to cut the guards so we'll see.

Glad you like the Sunny. I think they are under rated. Comfy with a bit more room than the 1200/120y and 4 link rear.
These hubbies are from a Buick century I believe. Not sure on year. Just put '15" hubcaps' into eBay and a few should come up. There are a few that I was choosing between, but these were the closest to the originals.

What are those hubcaps from ??? I'm thinking of getting the same for my 1600.

Seeing this build makes me wish i kept mine =(
