Mine is on a forced break as I can't move it at the moment and my garage is too small to work in. The diff is out & until it goes back in things are at a standstill. Just bought a few small parts & whatnot.. Def still forging on with it!

r32/33/34 on has the separate drum setup, the r31's are a conventional setup.

skyline have drum handbreak and disc is only dedicated for breaking.

its a 2 in one combo

there is a couple of 120y in good condition here in malta. a 240sx and a b310 clutch master cylinder are the same in size and working order

Ah ok. I saw one chap mount the hardware inside onto the pedal box. Only problem i have is the room between the firewall and inlet manifold. Its very tight. Will check the wreckers myself for the 120Y & check the set-up. Also need to have a look at a Skyline to check the handbrake linkages...

No, you'd still have to mount the master cylinder in the engine bay, so you'd have make a hole in the firewall, but all the bits are there.the standard sunny pedal box isn't adaptable. the Stanza one is wider & covers the hole that the speedo cable goes through, so maybe the 120y will be a bit narrower. They're also easier to get than Stanza parts. I'm going to have a look at a few cars in wreckers this afternoon, should take a tape measure with me.

Just had a look at the 78 sedan out the front, it has the studs & mounting hardware for a hydraulic clutch, but not the hole through the firewall. I seem to remember that the 73 120Y coupe my friend has doesn't have this set up. It'd be nice to know if this is a world wide thing, as I'm pretty sure 120Y's were sold in Malta. I'll have to get one anyway, as I still don't have the pedal box for my SR20 powered sedan. I always use an auto brake pedal in my Sunny's, I wonder if there's enough room with the 120Y pedal box.

In one of the other threads there's a picture of the pedal box from a 120Y (b210) manual pedal box, that had all the mounts for a hydraulic clutch. It was a thread about fitting a gearbox into an auto 120Y. I don't know if this is an Australian only feature, or if it's world wide, but it could be a go for a 'bolt in' clutch. It looked suspiciously like the A10 Stanza pedal box I used in my Sunny Coupe.Got a 78 120Y outside, think I'll have a look.
