Getting there on the Console. Bit more plastic welding and filling to do. Going to add a faceplate and paint it satin Black with the Datsun 1200 badge Mounted.

Just got it home from the Panel beaters place. Love Mates Rates. All Rust Plated Then Smoothed Out And 2 pak Primed.




Now to Kill Rust all the floors and sound deaden. Then Fish Oil the whole car In every nook and cranny.


Going to just feather out the chips on bumper and blow them in with a near match pressure pack. Then again may repair and respray them black.




Then all interior back in and off for rego inspection.

Looking good!

My first attempt at Door Trims From Scratch Bought some 3mm MDF and Charcoal Velour
Rear 1/4 Trims. Used the old ones as a Template. Marked and cut some thin Foam for a bit of Bounce.


Starting To Glue and Stretch it on a bit


One Done, 3 To Go Bet the last one's the best

Finished the Trims today all fit nicely. Just waiting for fish oil to settle then in they go. Got a fair bit of the Charcoal velour left over. Going to knock up a few frocks if anyone is interested.

What are the big squar holes for? speekers?

There the rear quarter trims they have a little box that goes in there with small speaker mounted in rear and also a compartment that goes down inside the rear quarter you can stash ya goodies in. My son will probably throw his half chewed lollies in there if my x approves of the car.
