hahaha thats gold, its takes about a half hour to change the dash and engine loom in a 1200. takes alot longer to do a full engine conversion and then also change both looms and modify them to run the new engine

and why in the hell would you put a 6 cylinder in a 1200 for a road car, ive your going to kill the handling and have no chance of rego or engineers why not go a v8?

Tearing out all the wiring??? thats a bit of overkill isn't it? there would only be a minor problem with the wiring, it doesn't take much for something to go wrong when it comes to electrics. My advice is take it to auto electrics place shouldn't cost that much to fix, couple of hundred at the most. If you don't want to get it towed, look in the yellow pages, and see if you have a mobile auto elec in your area.

You have a starter motor problem from memory? take the starter motor out, and take that to your local auto elec he should be able to test it, if its not that you have to get the wiring and relays looked at.

think your talking about a VG30de, single cam ones arent that big

i was meaning at the very most change both wiring looms, which isnt a huge job

there is a vg30e (sohc) in a 120y drag racing in perth. there is plenty of room looks like it was born in there.
datto only has half a dozen wires if you cant sort that out your never going to get a conversion finished
