the fumes u need to trace, but the noise u described sounds like pinging or detonation with the boost. use the best octane PULP 98 and if that doesnt work retard timing a tad.

Hi A14force. Cracked broken rings or cracked ring lands... there might be that possibility. Is it safe to keep running the engine for a while longer before getting to it? damn. Engines got to come out. Just when I tought I could have some fun with it . oh well. well, maybe thats it, because the exhaust note is not very consistant. Theres a slight dip in the tone at a very rythmic interval. Kinda like a leak or something.

Hi 1000coupe. Thanks for the response. Im using 97 fuel. I tought it was pinging until I heard real pinging. U can hear pinging over that noise sometimes. So I ruled it out as pinging, because it gives that sound as well even when the charger is turned off.

Check to see how much blowby you have before you condem your motor. Remember that when you're on boost, your pcv valve can't suck any crankcase fumes.
Maybe your exhaust manifold is leaking. 3psi isn't much aye.

Ill check for the blowby. Also I think iim going to pull out the exhaust manfold and have a look. Could be a leaky gasket. Will update on that. Thanks

1.5L supercharger....hmmm.. I think the next closes is a SC14, should displace 1.4L.
Im not sure if its easier then turbocharging, but I had the resources for the superC I felt it was an easier option for me. :)

Pulled out the Exhaust manifold and Inlet manifold yesterday. Found out the threads on the bolts that connect the bottom of the manifold and the downpipe were worn, so they losen up after some use. But also, I found that the gasket between the exhaust manifold and the inlet manifold (the little triangle one) was somewhat non existant. .
