i have a 4 speed manual box behind a stock a12.
1st and 2nd gears seem to be really short then 3rd and 4th are long. so its either rev the tits out of 2nd or die in the arse in 3rd. is this normal or not?

You could hunt out a 60 series 4 speed. Apparently they have a much better selection of ratio's.

Could there be a problem in the clutch? Although It may have a big gap between 2nd and 3rd, I've had clutches go out with those symptoms.
