D i think you need some help you are getting rid of your datsuns!
BUT i think you should send me this 2dr sedan until you have sorted why it is you are getting rid of them! also hold onto it i would like it as a project and i should be moving to vic in a few months unless you want to bring it up nsw???

Many like Don have pointed that I must be crazy or on smack cause of all the love thats gone into her $900 is not much in todays day and age. Don the 14inch jellies are in QLD on a corolla sorry but you have jellybean addiction similar to Ronald Reagan but less chance of diabetes. :)

Slightly related - a guy a work today was telling me how he nearly kills himself everytime he remembers the LJ GTR (XU1 mock up) he sold off 8 years ago for $1500.....
Like your thinking on the super light motor too....might just look at something like that one day.

Hey D did the Vitara is a little 4x4 is it not? If so, is the reason you can't use the stock gearbox that it is somehow connected to the transfer case?

I got my first datsun 1000 after I wrote off my genuine LC GTR in 1988, that was just getting collectable then, I dont want to think what it would have been worth now 20 yrs later.

Ianey yes the tranfer box, you could use the Jimny box with a third party adapter made for them and available commercially but the jimny sierra box with separate transfer box are not that strong and gearing is attrocious for 1st and second.
