i so remember a time when you could go to japwreck to get a motor gearbox and so many other goodies cheap and now... you'd be lucky to find someone who even know what a datsun is

There is a wreckers in Albany on the Lower Denmark Road.

I know he is 4 hours from Perth but man he has some goooood S###. The yard is stacked full of cars and cars to be wrecked in his carpark. You have to park in his drive.

Went there to get a 180B blue tail shaft and he knew exactly what I was doing with the CA conversion. Grabbed it straight of the shelf / Rack of about 200 assorted tail shafts and charged me $20

Worth a try

I guess that one of the biggest benifits of owning a datsun is that parts are realtivilty cheap to buy.
This of course means low profit margins for wreckers on these parts.
If I was a wrecker, I hate to admit it, but I wouldnt be hangin on to too many datsuns. Not when early falcons, holdens, and valients would bring in so much more money. An like someone said, Sims pay good money now for scrap, and if you have a yard in a now expensive area, you would sell up and retire. Hec I know i would. Its easy to understand why you cand find the parts, but that doesent help anyone.

Ever since owning my Daisy, the best wrecker that i have ever found is this site! Like most older cars now, parts are really only available from within the 'in crowd'.

A good freind of my brothers runs a wrecker in Narrogin. This guys stocks heaps of wierd and wonderful stuff. I have been meaning to get down there and have a poke around the yard. You never know....

That albany contact, would you be so kind to post some contact details....
